Then and than always give me a problem. Which is correct?
I’d like to take another week to get caught up and then I will get back in touch with you or I’d like to take another week to get caught up and than I will get back in touch with you.

The second sentence looks wrong to me.

It is wrong. Then denotes a sequence. I will do this, then I will do that.

Than compares. This is harder than that.
