Trump's companion agreement

What I find interesting is that such agreements between the president and a government employee is null and void on it face as they are working for the taxpayers not Trump so what benefits would a government employee get from Trump and company that would made such an agreement/contract valid?

Now before the election and the employees are working for Trump campaign but not afterward might be valid but my guess that even then courts would find such agreements against the public interests.
