I need to buy two graduation gifts.
One is for my niece. She is a writer and athelete. I send her a beautiful journal every year for her birthday so I can't really do that for a graduation gift but something "writerly" would be good.
The other is a friend who is graduating from nursing school.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
what about me? i make a great gift...
ummm money is the best thing i think...
Hmmm. You might be just right for the nurse!
Nononononono. Not money. I do not believe in giving money as a gift.
ok then... how about tickets to her favorite sports event?
For the writer, why not consider a gold Cross pen, inscribed with her name and/or grad. date?
It needn't be a Cross pen of course, but they are pretty and still reasonably priced if you luck out with a sale.
How about a funky business card holder for your friend, the nurse? I've seen some truly original looking ones in antiqued brass, pewter and even stained glass.
I'm not sure what her favorite sporting event would be. But that isn't a bad idea at all.... hmmm...... thinking.....
A nice pen is a pretty good idea. She's the kind of kid that would be able to hang onto something like that too. I'll have to start looking around.
A funky/cool business card holder is a neat idea! It certainly celebrates her new professional status.
Thank you!
I got a pretty nice business card holder from Tiffany's. Very nice gift, but I'm afraid to carry it, because I know I'll lose it.
Anyway, when I'm in doubt, I always go with a football. Everyone loves a new football.
Tiffany's huh? I'm not sure if my bank account allows for Tiffany's but there's no harm in checking it out.
A football I can certainly afford. Perhaps I'll get each person three footballs just so they'll know how proud I am of them!
