I have two overhead lights in my kitchen. These are controlled by two 3-way switches. I want to terminate / remove one of the switches (backsplash tile issues). How should I deal with the wires, such that the remaining switch will still work? The wires in the terminated switch will remain live. Thanks!
@ptortuga,
On the terminated switch, I would connect one of the traveler wire to the pole wire of that switch and leave the other traveler wire taped or capped. Then remove the switch and place a blank cover over the switch box. Make sure the power is off to the switches when doing this.
