A few years ago i saw a pic (or a series of pics arranged together) of Hubble heading off to deep space.
The lens was turned around and a series of shots of the Milky Way? were taken and spliced together. It showed our sun, tiny as it was, amongst millions of other stars.
It gave a terrific sense of perspective and I'd love to show it to my science students. does anyone know if there a link to it available?
Hubble has never left low earth orbit. Are you sure you are referring to the correct spacecraft?
Maybe you mean one of the Voyagers? Or Cassini? Or New Horizons?
