I have never watched "Sexy and The City" or "Desperate Housewives."

In my opinion, I think they are overrated shows.
Ok...I too have a confession to make. I have not watched any television programming in my home at all in over 6 years. I have caught bits and pieces of television at other peoples homes, but have not sat down and watched a program. I cannot even begin to fathom what I have missed.

I've never watched "Desperate Housewives" because the subject matter didn't appeal to me originally and the hype since has done nothing to make me more curious, but I don't have a clue as to whether or not it is overrated --because I've never seen it.
"Sex in the City", however, I did watch and enjoy, although it never made it into my 'must see" catagory, so, to the extent that it is considered a landmark series, I would have to say it is a bit overrated---but then, I have something to base my opinion on, having actually WATCHED the show.
I've never been overseas. Only foreign country I've been to is Canada and they are a lot like us so they don't count. I haven't even been to most states in this country.
Lady J , I also had watched no TV except a random sports show here and there at a friends house. I had junked my TV on NY's Day 2000. But in the last two months my sweetie and I have been watching Law And Order(reruns) and I really enjoy the plots.
Good point Greyfan. I try not to be dismissive of shows I haven't seen.

I have never watched reality tv (aside from guilty pleasure found in decorating shows.) or soap operas. I loved Sex in the City. Although I've been present for many a sporting event, I rarely pay attention to the screen, except for the odd hockey game and some world cup soccer.
