To start off I'm not a computer techy, and I'm very new to learning about all these ins and outs to how things function in the software of a computer. So if you have a good answer please try to explain it as simply as possible, I can reasearch what you say but you get the jist.
The problem is my computer I got as an unwarranted gift won't boot to the default login screen, it would get to the loading windows symbol then the monitor would display "monitor going to sleep" for no reason, and this was while it was in windows 10. During that problem if I was quick enough I could get the computer to boot to safemode, which worked and I could login no problem. From there I tinkered around trying different obvious ways to get the computer to boot normally. Nothing worked. So I proceeded to plug in a new clean hardrive into my computer and I installed Windows 7. Amazingly this worked and it installed fine and it booted to the normal login screen. I got all of windows updated and then it was time to install the graphics driver. I attempted this and the computer asked to be rest to finish installation. I did this and now I'm back to square one, a computer that only boots in safemode and a monitor that goes to sleep just before the normal boot option becomes available.
