I live with my mom in Pennsylvania and we recently moved. We have not moved all our things get but the landlord of our previous place broke in. Now we were tennenants at will. There was no lease past the 1st month. Anyway the previous landlord claims the place is a disaster says he has pictures of dog crap everywhere. Now it wasn't pristine when we started moving out but not only were we not done but the only garbage was standard moving garbage. Unfortunately we didn't think to take pictures since while we were leaving. Anyway I just want to know if there's something we can do to protect ourselves from these accusations. Especially since they said they plan to embarrass my mother at her place of work.
When was the date you were supposed to be GONE?
If it’s past the date, the landlord is now in possession of the home and if it was not clean, he has rights. He could take you to court.

There was no date. He didn't give a specific date we had to be out on and my mom was still paying rent since it was taking longer to move than we thought.
