Would you duel him for the love of of your wife who you have children with or your girlfriend and your honor! Knowing she betrayed you and will leave with the children because the man is wealthy compared to you, more handsome, a better lover and a powerful man in the country you live. Also knowing he is a better duelist and you would probably loose. Also your parent will dis own you if you do not defend the family's honor. Also how would you feel if you did duel him and she showed up and stood with the man's second and his supporters!

@dancer61,
Assuming this is the plot to a really terrible historical romance novel. I'd probably die of boredom in this melodrama of a tepid, cliched love story.

@dancer61,
How would she feel if one of them died over her? (and knowing that the one who was left killed him)
