Good N/A (New Adult) Fiction?

I'm trying to find some good novels that consist of protagonists who are 18-30 years old but too many I've read seem insulting to the intelligence of readers of this age group, (e.g., 50 Shades of Grey). Not too sound old-fashioned but I was hoping to find more fiction that could provide more info. that's helpful to emerging adult readers, or relevant to those who are transitioning from adolescence to adulthood, (leaving home, career and family planning, friendships, relationships), without resorting to being overly gross, perverted, graphically violent, and so on...hope somebody knows of some good ones, as most seem to depict new adults in a negative light, (promiscuous sex, gang affiliation, drug abuse, etc.) I know early adulthood is a difficult and confusing time, and most young people are still trying to find their feet, but not all men and women in their prime years behave so horribly, so I was hoping to find a few that don't show them all to be little sluts, obnoxious, atrocious criminals, etc., or even if they are they eventually reform and become better people.

@DiamondRainPrincess,
new adult?

why can't this group of readers read good books meant for all readers?

I'd suggest looking at something like the Canada Reads long list and reading all 0f those books. It's a step in the direction of good reading.

all of them are quite brilliant

I had the opportunity to meet 5 of the authors last week - all very impressive young people.
