How was everyone's weekend?

AS I was finishing my move from one apartment building to a nearby building in my neighborhood, I got onto a bus with a 4 foot tall framed poster. Found a seat near the driver. Placed my metrocard into my wallet. Swore I placed my wallet into my front pocket. Three bus stops later, I got off my stop with my frame and ... apparently without me noticing... my wallet.

About an hour later, I realized my front pocket was empty. No wallet. DONKEY SH!TE! Been dealing with the repercussions since.

Cobbled some change to get to work this morning. Had to make a few calls to inevitably reach my office manager to let me from the lobby of my building as well.

SO? WHO here has lost a wallet or passport or purse?

Not lately. I once lost a wallet in a convenience store. When I came back to search, I was pretty certain the guilty looking clerk had found it, but was not about to admit it. Long ago and all but forgotten, til now.

years ago - I had a knapsack stolen from a locked cabinet at work.

my passport was inside - along with my wallet

stolen passport means you have to get the police involved - and the RCMP showed up as well

the whole thing was such a pain in the tuchas

This is the main reason I never carry a wallet. No, I just stuff things into my pockets and place cards in a card carrying case (which somehow I've never been relieved of).


(I know it doesn't help or make ya feel better; but, it's all I got right now)

I lost my wallet several times years ago and only once since 2000. I was always losing them while I was in the field doing sonthing "fieldy"
I only had bad issues once, the first time. After which I always keep a copy and strip reading of credit cards. Things like passports I do not WVER carry. When Im in the hotel, it always gos into the safe or a company box. License and credit cards , I never carry more than 2 credit cards and I use a "Biker chain" either in a sport coat, vest, or front pockt of my jeans.

I once lost a Tag Heuer watch. It fell into a drill hole as I was timing a pump return. That was a special watch and I still fume at my stupidity.
