Which is clearer:

The pack out was delayed by a few days because the customer wasn't ready to proceed.
or
The pack out start date was delayed by a few days because the customer wasn't ready to proceed.

Suggestions for better sentence?

@dabbadabba,
They're both equally clear, but if you're referring specifically to the pack-out start date, then the second one is clearer.

I'd use a hyphen between "pack" and "out."
