Hello,
In REM's song, Losing my religion, what is the meaning of "losing my religion" ? Is there a figurative sense such as losing one's bearings, certainties, references, not knowing what to believe or think, etc.?
Or is it just a first degree?

The phrase "losing my religion" is an expression from the southern region of the United States that means losing one's temper or civility, or "being at the end of one's rope." in taiwan it means losing my self in someone else needs
