Hi everyone, I have a Facebook question which is causing me a bit of anxiety and would love to get some reassurance.
Long story extremely short, a girl I used to know (H) often stalks my boyfriend a bit on social media (bit crazy).
Both of us were friends with her on Facebook, however we have both deactivated our accounts recently for productivity reasons!
Recently, a friend of mine (E) posted a status detailing a trip we’re going on, tagging us both in it. My boyfriends account was active at the time but is now deactivated.
H is not friends on Facebook with E and both our accounts are inactive.
Is it possible that (H) will see this post on her timeline?
This is simply a privacy issue as I don’t want H being able to see details of our trip!
Please don’t hesitate to ask for further details, I know it’s a a little complicated. Just hoped some more technical-minded people could help me answer this!
@Anonymous240,
Yes, it's possible.
Even if they are friends, she could be following your bf or could simply have his page bookmarked.
FB is lousy for privacy. It has nothing to do with tagging. They just plain stink with it. Want to keep something semi-private on FB? Then only add it to a private, secret group. Or it can be a part of a DM exchange.
Want to keep it truly, 100% private on FB? Then don't post it at all.
