Quartz in biotite

Hello, I'm working on a grano-diorite thin section and I've encountered small quartz in shreddy biotite. What could be the reason of that?

The rock is made of small xenomorph quartz cristal as matrix, phenocristal of plagioclase and medium cristal of biotite ( shreddy + book )

My first guess was that quartz cristalised before biotite but with the Bowen series in mind and a matrix made of quartz it seemed not possible.
As I've learned, usually the last phase to cristalise is smaller due to the lack of space

Any idea to give me a hint?

thanks in advance and good new year!
