Lauer's Replacement

There was little speculation about who would take Lauer's job, the industry is full of people to fill the vacancy. The issue is how much of a perv Mr Nice Guy Lauer turned out to be.

Just curious about how the network will not only handle PR damage, but also fill the spot with a young, vibrant, minority face.

Lauer should have been let go long ago. That position was never a hard news spot anyway.

Not that I am in any way supportive of a raunchy roast like this (or Lauer) but isn't this what they do at any roast? Stretch the truth and joke about off color humor?

It is less acceptable today (and should be) but I would expect you could find many other roasts that were just as bad whether the person being "roasted" really participated in everything said about them or whether it was more an exaggeration or simple rumor.
