When I say something or ask something, people seem like they don’t want to be bothered with. Then I feel sad and unlistened to. It’s like what I say is unnecessary and useless (which it is I guess). Then when I don’t say anything again they seem not notice as if they want me to be silent.

There's nothing wrong with being silent. Don't feel you need to comment at every opportunity. Don't feel you have to fill the empty silence.
Be a good listener. Become informed. Ask thoughtful questions. You can always say, "I'm going to study that."
