Hi, I know native speakers of English use "look" to raise the attention of the listener(s), but I wonder whether native speakers use "listen up" for the same purpose. Are they alternative?

I feel "look" is more colloquial, while "listen up" is a little bit of commanding. Correct?

Thanks!

Both are colloquial. "Listen up" more so, and more commanding, as you note.
