Acceptable reason for contacting CPS?

Father's ex wife daughter got evicted from her home about 6 months or so now. She has 2 kids 16 and 11. She is homeless but father provided a couch for her and the kids to sleep on temporally. He wants them out because it was only suppose to be till she finds a place, but she has nowhere for them to go. She works at McDonald's feeds them from there everyday and they both are failing horribly in school. Is this justifiable neglect? Or does father have to evict them 1st for them to be homeless for CPS to get involved?

@Lovey328,
Maybe. And I know that's not the answer you wanted to hear, but these things can be dependent upon stuff like precedent in the area and even how well-staffed (and competently staffed) a CPS office is.

If you want to get involved and pick up custody, then contact a family lawyer and work with him or her about this. They may have other ideas and another way of approaching it. Because if you approach it vindictively, then CPS is likely not going to be too thrilled with enabling an ongoing in-family fight.
