What would you say this means?

Okay so I met this guy at a party, and the next day we got talking over facebook. This happened like a month and a half ago and we have been talking every day since, and have been on about 5 or 6 dates. He is so lovely and sweet when we are together, he doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would be dishonest but he is also extremely emotionally cool whereas I'm opposite and very emotionally unstable. I over think everything and my mind is like hell sometimes because of it, even though I try and hide it from him. I just don't wanna end up getting hurt again. Today he said he wanted to see me but only if it's at my house this time so we could watch tv and chill, because it's his only day off and he works very hard as he's a chef and he just wanted to relax with me, but because of the decorating process in my room he couldn't. He has been acting kinda off since. I put up a picture on Instagram of a pin up girl with a quote "whatever, I'll just date myself instead" because I thought it was cute, but he took it the wrong way and said " That's some funny **** to be posting when you're kinda seeing someone." What would you say "Kinda seeing someone" means? I'm very confused as to where he wants to go with this but I'm way too shy to ask and wanna play it off cool lmao.
