Scenario: We are a group of ppl working on a callcenter. We have our own headsets, so at the start of every shift the guy logging off unplugs his headset and the newcommer plugs it in. 50% of the time the computer fails to detect the headset. Sometimes it works, other times we have to reboot the pc with the USB inserted. Sometimes this wount solve the problem either. Why is this happening? Is there a way I can just manually click "Detect USB", or "detect drivers" or something so I dont have to restart this often?
In a commercial situation the PC is likely to be locked down. Why not ask your IT support?
