Why doesn't glue stick to it's bottle?
Glues are supplied in containers to which they will not adhere. A glue for glass may be sold in a plastic bottle.
Also, glues are designed to be applied in thin layers.

Furthermore, they usually act by solvent evaporation, so don't set up in the bottle unless stored after having been open.

A good point. I have had tubes of Uhu dry up on me.
