I've recently gotten into a bit of a fit of the Smiths. I think they are the greatest band alive. I started listening to them in 7th grade. I vividly remember listening to Half A Person, blarring it in my headphones as I walked to my locker and my heart throbbed for Morrissey's dreamy and sorry lyrics: "Sixteen, clumbsy and shy, that's the story of my life."
As I got deeper into the songs I realized that the words were carefully dressed in every single one of these lines, making me aware of the angst in London (although I was a small Indiana girl).
"I'd like to drop my trousers to the world..."
"I want to go home. I don't want to stay."
"I dreamt about you last night and I fell out of bed twice."
These are all examples of the BEST lines of angst (of all time. of all history. hell, maybe of all the galaxy and universe and atmosphere).
What are some of your favorites?

@jespah,
Well I wonder
Do you hear me when you sleep ?
I hoarsely cry
Oh...
Well I wonder
Do you see me when we pass ?
I half die...
Oh...
Please keep me in mind
Please keep me in mind
