Much like spreading all of your fingers apart, only now it's your toes. I was laying in bed one day I noticed that I could do it. Yes, obviously I have too much time on my hands....lol....i've been asking other people if they can, and it seems that most people can't do it. Can you?
i can do it a little bit, not like i can my fingers
yes i can... as long as I use my fingers to do the spreading though
When I get a pedicure the spread apart deals the put on your feet keep my toes apart for awhile.
I can, i can dislocate my pinky toe by myself too!
I can stretch mine until they can't stretch anymore...lol......am I a freak?..........lol...Hey, don't answer that!!!
No, and it annoys me when they want you to do that in yoga class.
I can - I had no idea it was not a universal toe feature.
I can pick stuff up - clumsily - in mine.

What does it benefit in terms of yoga?
I can, maybe some day it'll come in handy if I lose use of my hands.
Anybody willing to take a pic of their toes and show us?

I think it's to improve stability and balance, but it doesn't work for me.
Brooke will, she's an exhibitionist.
Yes, I can spread my toes--both feet. I mastered that trick during the lazy days of childhood.
Furthermore, the best people have prehensile toes. It increases our chances of survival.
Sure I can. At least, I could. This is the first time hearing that everyone can't.
Tell you something kind of creepy tho. Since having surgery on my left foot, I can't spread these toes or curl them. The doctor removed the joints to eliminate corns. Small price to pay for a painfree foot.
I can do it too
I thought this pic was interesting... although, it looks like she could use a pedicure:)
