@Lash,

Her staff said in their emails she might not be able to beat any of the other GOP candidates.

Well, they were probably right. Why is that so scandalous?

@hightor,
Because they subverted the will of Republican and Democrat voters by using their crony journalists to attack Sanders, and elevate the GOP candidate who they thought Hillary could beat.

If you don’t mind that, Russian interference is just fine with you.

@Lash,
How did that "subvert the will of Republican and Democrat voters"? Coordinated editorial support didn't stop people from publicly supporting Sanders, who had plenty of supportive journalists making his case and criticizing Clinton. And the DNC's "elevating" Trump didn't cause Republicans to vote for him and lead him to victory. Clinton used the establishment tools that were under her control. Sanders went the typical insurgent route, getting support from independents and people who were turned off by the DNC. Which is the way you'd expect it to work.

@hightor,
Awesome!

Please explain to your dramatic friends how this applies to their ridiculous obsession with Russia —and talk to Mueller as well. He’s wasting millions of taxpayer dollars investigating the same type of stuff, that by your own admission, didn’t force anyone to vote the way they did.

You’ve finally come to your senses.

@Lash,
You didn't explain how the will of the voters was subverted.

And for what must be the thousandth time I've had to explain this to you, no one is claiming that Russian meddling "forced" anyone to vote for any particular candidate. Anymore than the DNC's machinations prevented people from voting for Sanders.

#FireJoyReid is trending!

She had several homophobic entries in her old blog, and apologized for them. She was dragged a bit for this, but it was going to die down...

More homophobic comments by Reid were found, and she decided to lie... Such a metaphor for her ilk—establishment Democrats with no scruples who will fabricate any ridiculous lie to avoid accountability for their ****.

She said her blog had been hacked.

Probably by Russia... LOL.

You can’t make this **** up. Twitter is a wildfire.

Firestorm around Joy Reid continues.

She spent a lot of time mocking and ostracizing gay people; also got in some body shaming jokes about a few women.

The craziest thing is watching people who call themselves liberals acting as though there’s nothing wrong with it.

It’s a vast right wing conspiracy.

It’s verbatim every Clinton lie all rolled up into one.

She’s been “hacked by Russians.”

We are living in the post-truth world, and Bill Clinton opened this door.

Excerpt:

After some initial sluggishness, the national media is digging into claims by MSNBC host Joy Reid — who helms “AM Joy” on weekend mornings — that objectionable comments on decade-old blog posts are the result of hacking. On Tuesday night, MSNBC released documents, including a statement by security analyst Jonathan Nichols, advancing the case that various homophobic remarks stemmed from intrusions into her now-shuttered blog, the Reid Report, and “screenshot manipulation.”

Reid and company have referred the alleged hacking to law enforcement. And that’s the thread that MSNBC is grasping for its official position on the matter. “The matter has been brought to the attention of law enforcement and we’re letting that process play itself out,” notes a company source.

That’s not good enough, for a number of reasons.

Law enforcement — Nichols has told the Erik Wemple Blog that the FBI is aware of the allegations — may well not have the resources* to check into whether an MSNBC host’s ancient blog was compromised. “I really hope the FBI has better things to do,” says Michael Nelson, a computer scientist at Old Dominion University. And if it doesn’t, where does that leave the cable news channel?
A free-labor community of Twitter users and techies is right now moving through the publicly available forensics to great effect. Their findings cast doubt on the plausibility of Reid’s story. “The evidence is not with Joy Reid,” notes the headline of Alexis Madrigal’s piece on the Atlantic.
Reid and company have written code into the old blogging site to block its full archiving on Archive.org, home to the Internet Wayback Machine. Should MSNBC take a more active role in the matter, it could direct Reid to change the code so that those archives reappear. With such a presentation, says Nelson, a more thorough forensic probe would be possible.
MSNBC and NBC News have the resources to do more than sit on the sidelines of a possible criminal investigation. Time to sit down with the links, the tweets, the screenshots, the archives and the rest of the evidence.

*UPDATE: John H. Reichman, a lawyer representing Reid, has issued this statement regarding the FBI:

“We have received confirmation the FBI has opened an investigation into potential criminal activities surrounding several online accounts, including personal email and blog accounts, belonging to Joy-Ann Reid. Our own investigation and monitoring of the situation will continue in parallel, and we are cooperating with law enforcement as their investigation proceeds.”

The UK is calling it a “major incident.”

I’m assuming there’s been a poisoning. Wiltshire, England.

Investigation continues.
