I am a LVN in California. I am taking care of both of my parents in there old age. They need some in home nursing care and they have ins. Can i get paid by the ins company for providing in home care? i have been an lvn for 30yrs.
I was paid ($8 an hour) for taking care of my mother's personal hygiene, shopping, home cleaning/laundry, but she was low income (Medicaid) and elderly (Medicare.)
Ask her medical coverage company if she qualifies for home health care. The Dr. can write a prescription for it. Whether you, personally, can provide that is a good question. Sometimes family members can do it, depending on her needs.
