3 Way wiring problem

I wired a 3 way circuit in a nontraditional method and I am looking for some feedback. Three switches are involved. One switch is a standard switch without a dimmer (Pass and Seymour Legrand TM873W). The other 2 switches are dimmers (Pass and Seymour Legrand RHCL453PW). The dimmers are compatible with LED and the trims are LED. The non-dimmer switch is on the line side of the circuit. This switch is located on the wall right when you walk in to the room. The 3 wire romex that leaves this line side switch is then spit and goes to each of the dimmers. The dimmers are located on either side of a bed and each control a single light above the bed (right side reading light with its own switch and left side reading light with its own switch). When entering the room, both lights can be turned on with the line side non-dimmer switch. Each light can be appropriately dimmed with its corresponding dimmer switch and be turned off. If either of the lights are turned off with their corresponding dimmer they can’t be turned back on by just flipping the non-dimmer switch. The line side non-dimmer switch only works when the dimmer switches are sending power to their corresponding light. The current set up I have is acting like two single pole switches to each light.

I have done a lot of 3 way wiring using two switches and have never had a problem. This is not a 4 way switch issue since each of the dimmers is only controlling one light.

I don't think it is possible to attach a picture to this forum.

@BioPunch,
Quote:
trims are LED
No offense Bio but what's a 'trim'

After some 80+ years in the field of electronics still 't'times I don't 'stand. I''ve guessed all three hafta be on the line side

...of course ur subsequent sentence clarified my q but was stopped by '(right side reading light with its own switch and left side reading light with its own switch)', that seems kinda redundant

Then 'When entering the room, both lights can be turned on with the line side non-dimmer switch..Each ... dimmed with its corresponding dimmer switch', and thanks at that Punch but how else cold it be done

'If either of the lights are turned off with their corresponding dimmer they can’t be turned back on by just flipping the non-dimmer switch' Aha ! thanks for that oP, Po, OP !! 'cause I'm amazed at such stupidity on the part of the Mfr. However,

'The line side non-dimmer switch only works when the dimmer switches are sending power to their corresponding light' at first leaves me 'pletely in the dark

Pun intended
No it wasn't

Mh immediate assumption was meant to say that somehow you could then go to the 'non-' switch, flip it probly off then back on, to re-energize 'em. However it's only a guess

Actually it is. But I had tried to find a simple way for years, finally gave up

[Software fellas, if any'vya can read, there needs to be an easier way. And by the way, 'Mh' is one of the single most common missp's of ' My. That's 'cause, if you could touch type, you'd know how close the 'y' to the 'h'. Ask your boss. or even contact me at [email protected]]

Thank you for your OP, oP; Iou thanks for this 'tunnity and hope you get some more help than I was able to provide as

@BioPunch,
I know nothing about wiring, but I can answer this bit:

It's not possible to upload a photo directly to Able2Know. But there's a work-around:

- Upload a photo to another website (Imgur.com or whatever). Copy the URL of the image - the one that ends in .jpg or .png or .gif.
- When you're writing a post here, click the link that says "Open BBCode Editor" right above the content field. This opens up a string of buttons you can use to make text bold (B), italic (I), etc. It also has a button that says "Img".
- Click that "Img" button. Now, in your draft post, it will say "[img][/img]". In between those two tags, insert the URL of the image.

Presto. The image appears in your post.

@nimh,
Thank you for that Nimh, simple as I've seen so far; though it still requires first uploading the file into the Cloud
