I have 100% linen fabric to make an English bodice and a waistcoat but am not sure what the best material is for the lining. Can anyone help? I don't want modern poly material.

How wealthy do you want to appear? I imagine the well to do would have lined with silk or linen. The lower classes, maybe flax or wool?
