Does he like me? Will this relationship work?

I would be really greatful if I can get honest answers from here and thank you in advance.
I met a guy in an online matrimonial platform whic is more decent than the normal dating platforms. It has been two months now. He got my number and we started talking twice or thrice a week. He speaks generously and it has been very common. He asked about family and other stuff but he will make sure to call me every week. I also text him. One day he metined that he will be busy and talk on Tuesday. He didn't call but he texted on Thursday. I just replied. He then texted me on Saturday. It seems different that he didn't call me and he started texting me. I see him in the platform
Where I met him with online status at time.
From my side I'm really fed up with relationships. I am 29 and never had any successful relationships. I'm attractive and career oriented and independent. I have had bad time with emotionally unavailable guys and suffered from unrequited love.
Just panicked whether it will turn the same. And he lives far away from me in a different country so the only way of communication is through phone.
Can this relationship be taken to next level? Or should I stop? I don't need any temporary attachments and a lasting relationship.
