The A2K "Sentence of the Year" contest is drawing to a close

Remember back in the beginning of the year when someone started that "sentence of the year" idea? I forgot who it was, but I've been monitoring the threads carefully over the last year, trying to come up with a clear-cut winner.

I have encountered some absolutely brilliant sentences during that time. Some so beautifully crafted they take your breath away. Others merited consideration simply because of the thought-provoking content they elicited.

I had narrowed the list down to seventeen and spent a good part of yesterday anguishing over the list. Finally, exhausted, I collapsed on the table, the list clutched in my hand.

I awoke several hours ago and paced the floors. Still, I could not decide on a winner.

And then a miracle happened. I logged on to A2K and the first thread I came upon was Kickycan's "How Long can you make my Thread"

And there before my eyes was the winning sentence. A brilliant compilation of words by our beloved wordsmith, littlek.

While it's not yet official since there are still a few days to go, I find it hard to believe that anyone on this board could surpass littlek's latest offering.

How does she do it?
