The Hyperloop project assumes the construction of tunnels (one of them being metal pipes), in which the super-fast trains will move on the magnetic cushion. To allow traffic at over 1200 km / h, tunnels are to be pumped out of the tunnels. Assuming we have two tunnels (two pipes) of 5 m2 (perpendicular to the axis) and 1000 km each, determine the minimum work required to empty these tunnels from the air. Assuming that this work performs electric motors with 100% efficiency and that the price of 1 kWh of electricity is 1 zł, calculate the cost of this operation.

The actual cost will be most likely substantially higher than the initial projected cost. With that in mind, calculate in the projected rate of increase on the materials and the digging/construction of the project. Once that is done, you will be better able to estimate the final cost.
