I was leisurely surfing the web, and all of a sudden I came across this website, with a picture of guess who?..............................Gustav Ratzenhofer.
Now, could this be a forebear of OUR Gus??? The intelligent eyes, the handsome face, the high forehead. Now we know why Gus always appears in public with his hat on.
How many of us could find a picture of one or OUR ancestors on the internet. This is very, very special!
What do you think? Are you as thrilled to pieces as I am by this finding?
Well, more than one year ago there was just a wild guess and no real answer.
Perhaps this has changed meanwhile?

They're real! And Gus bravely stole them from disabled veterans!

But his great-greatson, our gustavratzenhofer, looks differently. At the last swamp competition at the local
joint, he won first price being the best "Travolta impersonator". His pictures made the swamp news.

Is this another "Guess who Gus is thread?"
One moment I may think he is an old man and then, I think he's just one real smart kid.
I wonder if this Gustav Ratzenhofer is one of Gus' relatives

I have come to the conclusion that Gus isn't one person. He is "everyman". If you think about it, what do we really know about him? her? For all we know, he could be the Little Old Lady From Pasadena (go Granny Go), or the ghost of Elvis. That is what makes Gus so exciting. He is nobody, and everybody!

So, where did he get the stick?
I think all that disco fever made him a cranky old man.
Now all he does is sit on his porch with his hound dog , shotgun, and booze flask screaming at the crows in his yard.

And that is a GOOD day according to seasoned Gus watchers and the BAT&F. At least it isn't one that requires an armed response......
