Rejection or over analyzing?

There is this doctor that I like and who I work with from time as I give him orders for him to protocol. I have it on good info that he likes me too. His face usually lights up when he sees me and he has a big smile. I knew he was divorced with a son and his ex is crazy trying to get his money. Anyways, just yesterday I went to his office to have him sign off on an order. We ended talking for a good while about his situation with his ex and him working two jobs. He was smiling most of the time and maintaining eye contact. I told him he had a boyish smile. He said thank you. I went on to say I think it it is cute and he kind of blushed and turned around and said have a good weekend. I told him the same and left. I wondering if I should take it as rejection or did I inadvertently embarrass him. I thinking I should have just the compliment short. Did I blow it? I am a 38 yr old black woman and he is a 41 yr old British white male.

@Oakraider4lif,
I get the feeling he is a friendly guy who really doesn't want to date people he works with, or who doesn't want to do any dating until things are settled with his ex.

Be your usual kind, smiling, professional self with him. I'm sure he would appreciate that. You already put it out there that you think his smile is cute. He'd have to be blind to not realize you mean more than that, but it might just be that the timing is off.
