Recently I purchased a picture that was signed Harry Roseland 1901. The picture shows a black woman/white little girl and a cake. The frame is real would, off brown with ridgits in it the would. the back of the frame is tattered and should not be handled a lot because it is easily turn at the touch. The wiring across the back is very old and rusted. Is their anything you can tell me about this picture?

@tammyt168,
Roseland's works vary in value and an art appraisal by a qualified person would be the best way to learn the value of the item you have.

The wood frame and its ridges would likely only add to the value if the artist crafted it himself and the rusted wire can be replaced.
