I just wondered if anyone has beaten my record of 11 new posts without anyone replying to them. I am sure I hold the world record for this but would be interested if anyone else has come close.

You only think you are the most uninteresting person here. EVERYone thinks they are the most uninteresting person here from time to time, the only one who is right about it is Gus. I say that even though he loves me.
And goshdarnit, I love him. I'm going now to find him and

Excuse me..... There is someone at my door.

Let me try and put your mind at ease australia, lots of people and I'm one of them, decide that because this site is predominantly American that they are not interested in any opinion from anywhere else, in my case England.

What may well be happening is that people read your posts and agree with what you are saying but dont feel that they have anything to add and so they dont reply, which leaves you feeling out in the cold, as it did me.

Dont try too hard and dont be put off, stick with it for a while.

Look at it this way, if they accept slappy doo hoo and Gustenratzenhofer there has to be a chance for intelligent people like us Mr. Green

Well no, how it works is people like Slappy and Gus remain exactly because of the way the system automatically boots out anything resembling an intelligent life form.

don1 - while many many members are American, the site is not as dominated by Americans as you might think. 1/3 of the top volume posters are not American. Coupla Australians, a handful of Canadians and some mixed Europeans - the non-Americans can make themselves well-heard and understood here.

I do think American political topics may be a bit over-represented, but others would argue that this represents the U.S. influence on the world, and that we all need to be assessing what's happening in the U.S.

Fight the good fight, fellas - ask - answer - post yer hearts out!
