Would a fish out of water die quicker than a human would drown ?
I don't know. Let's do the test!
I need a volunteer. Anyone? hehe
From observation of the kind of bastards who let fish they catch die, instead of killing them really fast, I would say that fish last a lot longer.
A friend's goldfish were ejected from their pond when a tree fell on it - she assumed they were all dead, because she didn't find the mess for some hours after it happened. Then, some time after THAT, she found some in the grass, alive, and returned all she could to water. About half of them lived - and they had been out of water for hours.
