Hi there , I applied dielectric grease to an exposed copper wire which is connected to my starter on my car . Is it a coincidence that my car shut down and wont start . What have I ultimately done ?

@odonovj,
Dielectric is an insulator, not an electrical conductor. You have to remove it from your wire to get it to conduct again. It might have been your intention to cover the exposed wire and it may have flowed between the strands and maybe into the connector at the starter.

This makes me think of dialectic grease, a kind of messy bunch of arguments.
