However, I have just reviewed this myself and after age 65, your Social Security check goes up 8% per year that you don't collect, even if you don't make anymore than you already did. Check out this page from the SS website:
Early or Late Retirement
If you do make more working at age 66-70 than you did before, (adjusted for inflation), then your monthly check goes up even more than that, because now you are paying more into Social Security those last few years.
