whenever i see odd socks avatar i think of the pixies song "subbacultcha"
and region philbis avatar always reminds me of hal, the computer from 2001
anybody else get this, about other avatars

When I see Sozebe's Avatar, I think of woman of strength, steadfast.
When I see Kickycan's, I think Italian...or Spaghetti Westerns...lol, Clint Eastwood.
Joe Nations...lol, makes me think of an actor, that unfortnately for the moment, I can't recall his name, but let me think about it for awhile and I'll figure it out. He had a real dry sense of humor....

make me shiver, the lighting in your photo makes me think of that scene from "The Shining" where Jack NIcolson's head is sticking through the door.

I always get the sense that RP's avatar is talking to me. It scares me (but not as much as BPB's ) because it's easy to think you're falling into it. Perhaps i've munched on a little too much rabbit nibblies of late.
It reminds me more of the orbs you have to pick up in the 1980's children's RPGs that we used to play than Hal, but, then again, I've never seen that movie.
djjd's avatar makes me think of a cat caught in headlights, the darth vadar or the Hawain idol in those old 80s cartoons where somebody inevitably gets stranded on an island, being sacrificed to the local tribespeople's god or the volcano.
It looks a hell of a lot like the black cat on a local commercial for the lottery that reads " win it before he (ed. the cat) does".
Dlowan's avatar reminds me of Rattus from " The Ferals", but I can't place exactly why. I think it has something to do with the reserved but cunning expression on its face.
But you guys probably have no idea what "The Ferals" was, anyhow.
