rigid to pvc

I need to do a spot repair on a 3" conduit that was hit. The 3" conduit shifted. I only need to use a 2'' piece. The rigid conduit doesn't line up. Is it legal to use Schedule 80 pvc to repair the conduit. I would ground both sides of the rigid or run a bonding wire. thank you.
