I am having problems interpreting an intercept when a variable is controlled for. How would the following intercepts be interpreted? and why is is that when Test score is controlled for, the intercept increases? In the original regression when Test score was not included the result was :Unemployment= .1279284+ .0553258 Gender . When Test score was controlled for the regression then read: Unemployment = .1952577 +.009791 Gender -1.27e-06 Test score. I just don't know how to interpret the intercepts in both regression.
