I own an Erich Stegmann original painting. On the back of this 10 x 7" framed painting, there is a printed label. The painting consists of two ladies with dresses on chatting between two buildings in the village with a trail and mountains in the background.
Kunstverlag
Erich Stegmann
Abteilung Kunstgewerbe
Deisenhofen b. Munchen
Kunstler: handwritten in cursive -- Luigbin (spelling?, hard to read)
Titel: handwritten in cursive-- Aarfgespeach (again, hard to read, I don't even know if I'm close)
Rahmen: 13
Nummer: 44
I was wondering if anyone had any idea on it's value? It's in pretty darn good shape. Thanks for your input.
Kathy
Is this the famous Erich Stegmann, the polio victim who painted with his mouth?
Rahmen: 13 = "Frame 13"
Nummer: 44 = "Number 44"
@centrox,
Yes, it is the very same artist.
