Why do people always want to please other people or in other words not offend them...We will always offend somebody...it is only nobody who offends nobody...somebody must offend somebody....so we all will eventually offend anybody....

Why do we hide what we really want to say with bullsh*t

There's a considerable difference between pleasing other people and trying not to offend them. One is politeness, the other is subservience.

As for not offending people. Everybody knows their bad traits + don't need others to point them out. I hate how people assume that if you say something negative, it's always sincere but if you say something nice, it's insincere. It's utter garbage. Ex-boyfriends aside, I don;t think anything bad about anybody. More of my compliments are sincere than my insults.

I am going with the telling it as it is post....although saying things in love...but I was refering more to expressing your point, and then trying to cover it up to not offend the other person....

That said, wasting time worrying what others think is as daft as thoughtlessly hurting other people. It's a matter of balance.

or wear it on your head!

Most people on A2K tell it like it is. Internet discussions tend to eb a lot more blunt and honest.

Also , there are a lot of Americans here. Blame it on the americans, who are always so thoughtless in the way they say things.
And a certain Adelaidean, who always makes daft generalisations without thinking.

Not you, Dlowan. THe other one.
