Practical issues with documents

I got asked this question in my sociology a level education paper and i put down access issues that sociologists may not be able to get hold of certain documents such as those in schools to do a study etc. I also mentioned authenticity / validity issues, such as the polish emigres study of their letters that would mean it would be an issue to use documents as you can't check if they're correct as they're old
