The way most people perceive reality is one-dimensionally. They look out into the world and see themselves as a separate being relative to an independent reality. This elementary level of consciousness is evident in how the world is structured. We have collective societies of individuals relating to one another through cultural practices, things like music, food, dress, etc. A sense of commonality allows our individuality to transcend reality, but where does this motivation for commonality emerge? Are we one of many species that happens to be implanted with this inherent need for social connection?
What we think as a physical body planted on the ground navigating through a world could also be thought of as a sentient consciousness constantly searching for its larger source, or one piece of a puzzle to total collective consciousness. The question becomes, how would you be able to distinguish between a reality with individuals between a collective reality, especially when one seems simpler than the other and therefore preferable through Pascal's Wager?
When Einstein discovered relativity, he was knowledgeable and capable enough to prove this law mathematically. One of the reasons why I believe we haven’t discovered this different dimension is because of how suppressed the individual beings are. Who knows maybe it’s the force of gravity which causes us to be trapped inside of our heads. Not only that but until you’ve started to tap into this dimension you don’t really see a motivation to study the mathematics of the physical world, outside of selective experiences bringing people into physics, like money, family upbringing, etc...the idea to anyone remotely practical seems to scream absurdity on the surface, but don’t all ideas which innovate and shake the foundation of your current worldview similarly seem absurd? Thinking abstractly can allow you to expand your perspective and horizons. I think this intense need to expand my perspective and my number one intellectual gift, my open mind, has allowed me to tap into this “new” dimension, this supernatural reality where physical properties in a physical world do not exist, but rather, a single collective consciousness exists above subjectivity.
I've always seen the world as 4 dimensional so I am well ahead of the curve.
@McGentrix,
4 dimensional meaning not the self looking out into the world but the self looking up into collective consciousness?
