I go under the scalpel shortly at Manchester Royal Infirmary, just in case I don't make it, it's been nice knowing you. My mate alan says to kill me you would need a f****** howitzer, I dont know how to to take that, Manchester Royal probably has one Sad

What are you going in for? Just be sure to tell them that the appendix sits on the inside!
BTW, like your sigline!

Ah, yes, good luck!

Don, all the best. At this point, your friend probably knows you better than you know yourself. I know you will pull through.

Had my own date with the cutlery last week. Hope yours goes as well as mine did. (I wouldn't wear that Arsenal scarf in a Manchester Hospital, though.)

Good luck, Don.

Here in the States we go "under the knife" even if a surgeon is wielding the knife. Being stabbed with a scapel seems much more professional.

Hold your dominion.

Hoping all is well, Don1, and your recovery is quick. Nothing like a trip to the hospital to remind us how much better it is to stay away from doctors, especially when they're still practicing.

Very Happy in and out in less than 24 hours and a scar no bigger than an appendix scar, a (fortunately) benign little lump that had me worried.

If you must have lumps, benign lumps are preferred.

Congratulations!
