I made a business card my GF had nothing but dismissive contempt for it. I challenged this response and she said, "Oh, you're a designer now?", as if I shouldn't have any pride in the creation. I've made films so it's not like I have no visually artistic aspirations and I always find something to compliment in other's work. Am i too sensitive or is she disrespectful?
You're the person going out with her. Don't you know her?

You're better off not responding if snark is all you have to offer. Of course I know her but I'm looking for other's opinions on this specific behavior.

We weren't there. Her tone might have been light, in which I would not think much of it, or it might be habitual sneering, a symptom of a partnership gone sour, in which case I might both resent it and start considering my options. Just seeing the words in print does little to help. Like I said, you are the one who knows her.
