@saab,
To the best if my knowledge, the messages here at a2k can only be eliminated through accumulation of new messages. From what I recall, there's a total number you can receive and keep (1000 rings a bell in my head), message 1,001 will then push off the first p.m. you received. No way to delete on our own, maybe the next version if this site will have that feature.

Keep in mind, I am just going with what I remember reading here a year or so back, I may be totally wrong by now.

@Sturgis,

That is kind of discriminating.....some I want to keep are gone and the ones I want to get rid of stay.
Also I do not know who will be able to get in and read my messages. I really thought I could handle them just like private mail and e-mails.

@saab,
Sturgis is right, but I don't think anyone besides yourself has access to them.

I don't like it either. I bet if I looked, I would find a page or more, all from one person I don't want to hear from.

@roger,
OK, then I could send 1000 private messages to one of the moderators for every private message I want to get rid of and hope it is the right one which disappears into nothing.
Then we would get a wastebasket button very fast - I am sure

@saab,
I doubt it would work. They would probably call it spam.

Hey, be stubborn if you want to.

@roger,
I am too impatient to be stubborn and to take the time to send 1000 messages.

@saab,
I would be too. Anyway, they would crowd out everything in your Sent File.
