Can somebody explain the difference in meaning between these two sentences as I don't get it.
Thanks

Does this mean the first sentence - there was only one job?
Second sentence there was more than one job?or the other way around.

There is no difference in meaning between the two sentences in each pair. The only difference is that the second one of each is better punctuated.

@centrox,
I was led to believe that the commas change the meaning. Does anyone else agree?
e.g. Am I talking about one advert being places or with commas several adverts being places but applying for one.
