Help!
I submitted a child support application a couple months ago. Within a well of submission the father of my child and I decided to work things out on our own so I canceled the case. I kept on receiving letters of scheduled appointments to go in but I would get rid of them because I canceled services. Well today I got a phone call and them saying case can't be cancelled because my daughter receives Medicaid. The lady informed me that even though we're back together living in the same house that we would have to go to court because either way the father of my child was going to have to pay the states medical something (I can't recall the word she used) ? What exactly does this mean? Is he going to be paying the states every month for no reason ?
@Alexism,
With only limited information, there's not a lot I can tell you. However, since they don't seem to understand anything other than going to court, why not go to court?
